Tornado Watch Issued for Bloomington, IL
Residents Urged to Take Precautions
A tornado watch has been issued for Bloomington, IL and surrounding areas. The watch area is approximately 60 miles east and west of a line from 45 miles south of Ottawa to 45 miles north of Paxton.
The National Weather Service advises residents to take precautions and be prepared to seek shelter if a tornado warning is issued. A tornado warning means that a tornado has been spotted or indicated by radar and is imminent or occurring.
Residents should monitor weather conditions and listen for updates from local news and weather sources. If a tornado warning is issued, residents should seek shelter in a basement or other safe, interior room on the lowest floor of their home.
